We also abide by all existing forestry laws and policies and are committed to achieving forest sustainability and economic balance.
Through our management prescriptions and standard operating procedures (SOP), Sapulut is committed to good practices for both Natural Forest (NFM) and Forest Plantation (ITP). These practices are consistent with the requirements of forest management certification. All our managers, officers, staff, and contractors are required to follow such SOPs.
Sapulut is also committed to maintaining its Forest Management Certification with firm adherence to the Principles and Criteria of Malaysian Criteria and Indicator for Sustainable Forest Management [MC&I (SFM)]. We believe the Forest Management Certification is positive for the company, as well as the industry.
